Special Thai Project in Krabi - Overview
The Special Thai Project, as the very name suggests, is a special endeavor of the American TESOL Institute in Thailand to provide a dream launching pad for all individuals willing to start or pursue a career in ESL teaching. The course is designed in such a way that the participants get a direct teaching assignment in a school in Thailand after completing the stipulated 120 hours of TEFL training provided by the institute. After securing your TEFL certificate following three weeks of extensive grounding, you will be placed in a Thai school for a period of four to five months. The salaries are exciting and you will get a chance to sponsor your extended and memorable stay in Thailand as well as save for further use.
Date of Landing
The Krabi Special Thai project starts from 11th April 2011. You are suggested to land on Saturday as our course begins on Monday 9 AM sharp. It is best to land before as it gives a chance to explore the place in advance and get acquainted to the city. This is reason why ATI provides accommodation two days prior to the commencement of the course.
Accommodation Availability
Accommodation for the students will be available from 12 noon on Saturday. If you reach before then you have to arrange for the accommodation yourself. Your teaching assignment will start in mid May and you need to organize your own accommodation during this period. School accommodation starts 48 hrs before the semester start date you will need to arrange your own accommodation for those days.
NB: Your school may be in any part of Thailand, you need to arrange your own transportation to your school from your training venue. We will be there to guide you.
TEFL Program
- The TESOL Certificate Program starts sharp at 9 AM.
- The program is normally conducted Monday to Friday, but additional classes may be organized on 1 or 2 Saturdays also.
- There will be a THAI CULTURAL CERTIFICATION COURSE leading to Certification from Teachers Council of Thailand. This certificate is immensely important for Teachers License. We conduct this course for all our participants free of cost.
Accommodation Details
TESOL trainees are provided for double occupancy, well-furnished accommodation in a nice resort hotel. Accommodation for Special Thai Project candidates is free of cost.
